PESHAWAR: A Peshawar High Court bench on Monday directed the Election Commission of Pakistan to respond to a Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf petition that sought orders for the holding of the upcoming elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through judicial officers under the supervision of the judiciary. PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf on Thursday filed a petition with the Peshawar High Court seeking directives for the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to hold the upcoming elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through judicial officers under the supervision of the judiciary. Wiping the slate: PTI MPA challenges legitimacy of May 30 polls

PESHAWAR:Not only have re-elections at 365 polling stations been challenged through a petition at the Peshawar High Court, but the legitimacy of the entire process has been brought into question. Filed by PK-24 (Mardan) MPA Zahid Durrani through his counsel Muhammad Muazzam Butt, the petition claims both the elections and the re-elections are against the law.
