Peshawar high court strikes down law on retirement age increase

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court on Wednesday declared unconstitutional the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government act of increasing retirement age of government servants from 60 to 63 years by amending the civil servants law. PHC asks govt to restrict activities of Afghans

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court has directed the federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments to restrict the activities of Afghan refugees in the country in line with the law of the land. High court suspends detention of 150 Tehreek-i-Insaf members under MPO

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court on Thursday suspended the orders of authorities to detain around 150 leaders and workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf in the province under the Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance. A bench consisting of Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim and Justice Sahibzada Asadullah declared that the petitioners, who had been kept in different prisons, should be freed if they’re not required in any other cases and that each of them should produce two surety bonds each of Rs200,000 for their release.
