PESHAWAR:Not only have re-elections at 365 polling stations been challenged through a petition at the Peshawar High Court, but the legitimacy of the entire process has been brought into question. Filed by PK-24 (Mardan) MPA Zahid Durrani through his counsel Muhammad Muazzam Butt, the petition claims both the elections and the re-elections are against the law. PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court on Thursday suspended the orders of authorities to detain around 150 leaders and workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf in the province under the Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance. A bench consisting of Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim and Justice Sahibzada Asadullah declared that the petitioners, who had been kept in different prisons, should be freed if they’re not required in any other cases and that each of them should produce two surety bonds each of Rs200,000 for their release. PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court on Thursday granted transit bail to former MNA and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Shandana Gulzar until Feb 25 in a sedition case registered against her in Islamabad.
